As standard you can only get apps for the Kindle Fire / HDX from the Amazon App Store. Sky and Amazon are competitors to some extent, so you can’t get the Sky Q App via the Amazon App Store. Most Kindle Fire tablets actually meet the minimum spec. to run the Sky Q app.

Click on the link to Amazon App Store from the dialogue box and it takes you to the Sky Go App, but as it's already loaded to my kindle it only has an [Open] click option, no "upgrade" button appears. then I'm in the eternal loop of clicking [Open]-SkyGo App -[upgrade]-Amazon App Store-Sky Go [Open] etc. etc. etc. Thanks for your response. 🙂

If you open the app in 'Offline mode', you will not be able to playback your downloads.
